Motion sickness and Lonavala

Sleep deprivation. Even before coming to the trip, I was in a sleep deprived state but I hadn't realised how much. Waking up early for lectures, sleeping late wasting time, watching Netflix. I attended lectures in Lonavala as well. I had to wake up early to attend the 7:30 lecture and I don't think I slept sooner than 12. This sleep deprivation built up, making me feel heavy headed. This took my motion sickness to another level. By the time we reached Tiger point, I was barely holding myself together and I had already sobbed a little bit by that time, didn't vomit though. The sun was harsh and it felt really good roaming around. Monkeys were arriving there from the forest ahead. There were cattle roaming around. I walked right infront of the monkeys and looked at them. I see monkeys in Thane too, about once a year but it's so rare I gotta cherish every moment I get to see them. And cows, they have such a big calm presence, it is mesmerizing.

People were surprised seeing a monkey opening the bottle it had snatched from a tourist, I assume, and drinking from it. I wasn't surprised at all. Monkeys are that smart. People underestimate animals' intelligence.

Soon after, I started feeling woozy and felt like filling my stomach would help. There were many eateries. My mother suggested drinking narayal paani but I told her that I would eat the malayi. As we were exiting the place to where we thought there were coconuts, we were stopped midway by an eatery-keeper asking us to buy something. We bought a narayal. Mom coerced me into drinking the pani with her and then I ate all the malayi. *I needed more!* I eventually got my brother to drink another narayal. And I ate the malayi. I had also ordered vegetable maagi. It had been years since I had eaten maagi because of the controversy and I would have avoided it but I was desperate. I needed something more to eat. And thus I made sure there were vegetables too because I had to get something other than just "maagi". It felt great eating the hot soupy maagi under the shade of the eatery.

Bhushi Dam. This area. You enter this place and you will not realise that the sun above is beaming harshly. The canopies of trees around shades the area. The lake shore is beautiful. We roamed around here leisurely and relaxed.

Returning from the dam, we came across a man selling cucumbers with chilli powder and salt. I bought the cucumber because I was still a little motion sick and felt like eating more would reduce it. I bought a cucumber without seasoning. The freshness felt divine.

We then travelled to the Annapurna restaurant. There, outside, a little kid asked for the 'kakdi'. I had only taken a few bites. I removed one piece for myself and gave the rest to him. *Something* good came out of my motion sickness!

We ate at Annapoorna restaurant. I had idli. I and Dad were the last to finish, the others, i.e. my mum, my sister and my brother were already finished and were buying Chikki. We started looking for them in the Maganlal Chikki shops because of those being so famous. I finally found them at A-1 Chikki. Across the road from the A-1 Chikki shop was a pan stall. Instead of meeting up with the rest, we started eating pan there. It was delicious.
